School sessions will consist of a series of lectures and seminars delivered and held by prominent historians from various European countries.
Invited scholars who will comment on students’ papers and offer their expertise include Professors Sergey Ivanov (Moscow), Annette Kehnel (Mannheim), Steffen Patzold (Tübingen), Martial Staub (Sheffield), Constantin Zuckerman (Paris) and Thomas Wünsch (Passau).
Eligible are doctoral students from all European nations as well as post-doctoral students who defended their PhD theses recently.
Applications should include:

a covering letter and a summary of the PhD thesis of no more than 12000 characters with spaces;

a CV including, where appropriate, a list of publications, papers, workshops and colloquia attended as well as participation in summer schools and pedagogical experience;

a reference letter of the supervisor or the Head of Department.
Applications and enclosed documents should be sent electronically (in Word and/or PDF) by the 15th of April 2012 to: dynmidages@gmail.com. The selection will be done by international commission of experts.
Students who are selected and invited to take part in the course are expected:

to send a detailed overview of their research project (up to 30000 characters) by the15th of August 2012;

to make an oral presentation of their project at the training school;

to take an active part in discussing other projects,

and to participate actively in seminars, workshops, round table discussions.
All travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the conveners.
