In June 1948, a historic fight took place in Birmingham in which the black boxer Dick Turpin took on Vinc Hawkings. The fight for the title of British middleweight champion was special because until then a colour bar had applied. This regulated that only athletes who were born in Great Britain and whose parents were white were allowed to compete. In his research, the sports historian Dr. David Dee was able to find out that the change in opinion that made the fight possible was due, among other things, to the Second World War and the Commonwealth soldiers stationed in Great Britain.

as the author of »Deutscher Meister« (https://hoffmann-und-campe.de/products/253-deutscher-meister), a prizewinning novel about the defense artist Johann Rukelie Trollmann (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/62355), I highly appreciate your work and would like to listen to your podcasts, but I need to download them. Can you please make that possible?
Best regards
