For the second time, the Prince Claus Fund, The Netherlands, and the Gerda Henkel Foundation, Germany, announce an Open Call for Proposals specifically aimed at Emergency Preparedness for Cultural Heritage under Threat. We invite cultural practitioners, institutions and local NGOs to present their ideas for Emergency Preparedness measures to protect tangible cultural heritage against acute danger and irreversible loss in case of disaster. We welcome applications from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
After a successful first round of the call last year to which we received 143 applications from 57 countries, we want to respond to the need to protect and preserve cultural heritage in crisis regions. You can find further information on the call, the eligibility and the selection criteria on our website. The deadline for applications is 31 March 2020 at 17:00 CET. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us via proposal@gerda-henkel-stiftung.de.
For projects related to the protection of cultural heritage in crisis situations that do not fit the criteria of this call, please see the respective websites of the Prince Claus Fund’s programme for Cultural Emergency Response (CER) and the Gerda Henkel Foundation’s Funding Initiative Patrimonies.
